Backstage uses automated systems to help identify and remove offensive or inappropriate language or content. These tools help keep the community safe. In some cases, a human review may follow if content is flagged. Users who repeatedly breach the community rules may be removed from the platform.

8. How we share your data

We only share your information with trusted partners who help us operate the app. These include:

  • AWS for cloud storage and hosting
  • Mailchimp for email communication
  • Yoti for identity verification

Each partner is required to protect your data and use it only for the purpose we specify. We do not sell your data to anyone.

9. International data storage

Your data is stored on secure cloud servers. We do not transfer your data outside the UK, EU or Gibraltar except where adequate protection is in place under GDPR rules.

10. How long we keep your data

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active and for up to 12 months after you close your account. We may keep limited records for a longer period if required by law or to resolve disputes.
